There are three parts to Rescue Alert's medical alert system; the panic button, the base unit, and the Response Center.
The panic button is an emergency medical alert bracelet or necklace. It is waterproof, and worn by the subscriber at all times. When pressed, the panic button activates the medical alert base unit, which is plugged into any telephone jack. Your medic alert alarm system then calls into the Rescue Alert Response Center, which specializes in medical emergency alarm monitoring. An attendant in the Response Center will immediately speak to the subscriber through the medical alert base unit's two-way voice speaker. The subscriber explains his/her emergency and the Response Center attendant alerts the subscriber's personal responders (family, friend, or emergency services).
Rescue Alert has manufactured and sold over 60,000 medic alert alarm systems, and has been providing help to individuals since 1981. Every day Rescue Alert's personal emergency Response Center responds to emergency signals, offering reassurance, comfort, and peace of mind for individuals and their families.
The use of Personal Emergency Response Systems has grown dramatically in recent years. Medical alerts offer immediate assistance not only for the elderly but also for patients recuperating after surgery, and potential victims of domestic violence.
