Panic Button Field Conversion for Bracelet or Necklace

The Rescue Alert panic button can be worn as a bracelet or a necklace. To convert from one to the other, a conversion kit is needed. The bracelet conversion kit consists of a wrist strap and two springbars. The necklace conversion kit consists fo a ferrule and one springbar. pricing information

To Remove the Necklace Fixture (ferrule):

1. Hold the panic button firmly in one hand with the black lanyard (string) pointing away from you. Turn the panic button on edge, exposing a small hole where the lanyard ferrule (the white plastic tube with the lanyard running through it) connects to the front edge of the panic button.
   
2. Place the straightened end of a paper clip, or the spline of the springbar tool into the hole and press firmly to compress the end of the springbar.
   
3. Tip the ferrule while placing your finger over the springbar as it slides out from under the arm of the panic button. Slide the ferrule out of the panic button and off the springbar. CAUTION: The springbar spring is compressed and when released may rebound several feet. This could result in injury to the eye or face, the loss of the springbar.

To Install the Wrist Strap:

1. Place one end of the springbar in the bottom hole and compress the top end with the paper clip, the flat end of the Springar tool, or your fingernail. Place the springbar back in the top hole in the arm of the panic button. Tug on the middle of the springbar to verify that both ends of the springbar are securely seated in the holes. Repeat this process for the other end of the panic button.
   
2. Carefully thread the rounded end of the Velcro Wrist Strap under one of the springbars. Be sure the soft side of the wrist strap is facing away from the panic button. Continue threading the wrist strap across the back of the panic button and under the other springbar. Position the panic button in the center of the Wrist Strap.
   
3. Tug on the wrist strap to verify the springbars are still firmly seated in the holes on the arm of the panic button.

The same basic proceedures are used when removing the wrist strap and installing the necklace fixture.
